We buy used machines
We buy used photocopiers. Working or not, one machine or a whole fleet, commercial copiers, multifunctions, office printers and wide format plotters. We agree a figure on the phone, arrange to collect from your premises and wipe the drive.
Offices that upgraded and have the old machine in a corner. Firms closing or merging. Schools and councils refreshing a fleet. Leasing companies and dealers with machines coming off contract. Building managers and removalists who have found a copier left in a tenancy.
A single office with a single machine is as welcome as any of them.

Brands include Toshiba, Kyocera, Canon, Ricoh, Konica Minolta, Sharp, Fujifilm and HP, and the other major commercial makers. Think Toshiba e-STUDIO, Kyocera TASKalfa, Canon imageRUNNER, Ricoh MP and IM, Konica Minolta bizhub, Sharp MX and HP LaserJet Enterprise.
Colour machines in good order and floor standing units with finishers draw the most interest. Small desktop and older machines are worth a phone call. Home inkjets are the one thing we do not buy.
We look at the machine in front of us, never at the category. The model, because demand differs. The meter reading, which tells us how many pages it has done and matters more than age. Condition: does it print, copy and scan cleanly, how is the finisher. Whether parts and toner are still around. And whether anyone has kept a service history.
The figure is agreed on the phone from what you tell us. We confirm it when a technician sees the machine, and if it is as described, it stands. If something is different, say a failed part nobody mentioned, we explain and you decide.
No figures go on the website. Every machine is different.
You phone or send details and we settle a figure. We pick a time that suits you and ask about access: which floor, where the lift is, how wide the door is. A technician disconnects the machine and takes it out, along with the drive. Payment is arranged as part of agreeing the figure, and we explain how when we speak.
Nothing is binding at any step. If the figure does not suit you, you keep the machine.
Maleny, Nambour, Eumundi, Kenilworth, Gympie. Farm supply counters and small offices out there have the same copier trouble as a Maroochydore firm and fewer people to help. Ring before the van is loaded and we plan for your machine, so the drive is not wasted.
A town office should get the same treatment as a coastal one.
Dead fuser, worn drum, a board that has given up: a machine like that may still be worth repairing for resale, and if not, worth parts. A short phone call gets you an honest opinion. If you are unsure whether to fix or sell, read is my copier worth repairing.
Three questions come up all the time. A leased machine belongs to the finance company, so the lease has to be settled first, and we explain what to ask. An old machine is worth a call, because parts and refurbishment give age more value than people expect. A broken one may still bring something for parts or repair.
When an office closes or moves there is usually more than one machine and a short deadline. Send a list of makes, models and locations. We put one figure on the lot and come once. If the machines are going to a new office instead of leaving, that is relocation and removal.
Copiers keep images of scans, copies and print jobs on an internal drive. It does not clear when the machine is switched off, and it leaves with the machine. For anyone handling client files, patient records, contracts or payroll, that matters. Every machine we take in has its drive wiped first, and that is true whether the machine is resold or stripped for parts.
It is checked, the drive is wiped, and machines in good order are cleaned, serviced and tested. Some are sold on as second hand or refurbished machines. Others are kept for parts that keep other machines going. Either way, it does not go into a skip, and nothing from your office stays on it.
Which floor, and is there a lift? How wide is the door, and is there a step? Is the machine on a stand, bolted to a bench or sitting on a cabinet? Can a van park near the entrance, or do we need to arrange something with the building? These sound dull. They decide whether the job takes twenty minutes or half a morning, and the answers are on the phone before anybody drives.
A copier is heavy, full of parts that can be reused and carries a drive with your documents on it. Dumping one is a waste of the first and a risk with the last. A collection gets the machine out, makes the data safe and gives the metal and plastic a second life, and you may be paid for it.
The label with the model, the panel showing the meter reading and one shot of the whole machine make the best start. That saves a visit and lets us give a firmer figure on the phone. None of it is essential.
Replacing it? The old machine's value can go towards a new or second hand one, so you do not store it while you wait. See photocopier sales and new and A3 photocopiers.
