Beerwah, Glass House Mountains and Landsborough
You can see Tibrogargan and Beerwah from most of the south end of the Coast, and the businesses at their feet are a different crowd from the beach suburbs. Farms, packing sheds, tourism, builders and small shops, all with a printer or two. Printer service and copier repairs happen on site for us, from Landsborough up through Beerwah to the Glass House Mountains village.
The towns here run along the old line of the Bruce Highway, now Steve Irwin Way, with the railway beside it. Landsborough is the southern gateway, Beerwah is the centre, and Glass House Mountains and Beerburrum are the quieter ends. Nothing here is a big office park. The shopfronts and sheds hold small machines, mostly one per business.
The plan for any visit starts with where in that line you are. Tell us the town and the street, and which side of the railway.

Pineapples, strawberries, turf, timber and market gardens have all been grown around these mountains. The farms and packing sheds run an office, often a small one in a corner of the shed, with a printer or multifunction for invoices, labels, transport documents and compliance paperwork.
Dust and heat go with the work. Fine soil and packing material get into the paper path and the fans. Strong light on the machine from a west window cooks toner. We clean what we can, change the worn parts, and advise on a better corner.
Seasonal use is the other pattern. A machine runs flat out through harvest and then sits. Rollers harden, toner settles, and the first print of the new season is a mess. A service visit before the season avoids it.
Australia Zoo draws a lot of visitors to Beerwah, and a ring of accommodation, cafes, farm gate shops and tour businesses grows with it. They print booking sheets, tickets, receipts and rosters. The machines are small and busy.
Receipt and label printers are the most frequent repair. Pale prints, skipped labels and a till printer that has lost its connection to the computer are all things we fix on site, usually quickly.
School holidays and long weekends are the peaks. We suggest a quick check beforehand.
New housing keeps a lot of builders, concreters, electricians and landscapers busy, and each has a small office, a shed or a ute. Plans and contracts are printed from a machine that was bought for the house, not the job.
Wide format printing is occasionally needed. A plotter in a builder's office is subject to dust, and a roll feed that skews means a part is worn. We repair those, and we tell you if a plotter is sitting where it should not be.
These are the times of year that most of our calls come in. A small amount of attention on those dates saves a lot of stress.
Brother, HP LaserJet and Epson in the small offices and shops. Kyocera, Toshiba e-STUDIO, Canon and Ricoh in the larger offices and the schools. A good number of older machines that have been repaired many times and still run.
No maker owns us, so we repair whatever is on the bench or in the shed and say so when another repair stops making sense. Buying and selling machines is part of what we do too, which means a talk about a replacement is a real one.
Have the make and model to hand, plus a line about what the machine is doing or what the panel says. You hear the price during that call, before a visit is booked, and nobody holds you to anything. Same day visits are possible on a good day. Busy phone? Your call goes into the log and we ring you back.
The technician who turns up is trained, experienced and certified, with the usual spares in the van. Nearly every job (98%) is finished in one visit, and if the same fault returns on that machine we put it right again without a bill.
Landsborough is a service town in the old sense. A main street with a bakery, a pharmacy, an accountant, a few shops, a hotel, and the businesses that serve the farms and acreage around it. Printers do the same jobs as anywhere, but the machines are a decade older on average, and the owners know them by their quirks.
That is a strength. A machine with a long history is a machine whose habits are known. If you can tell us what it does and when, we can usually say what is wrong before we arrive.
Rural lines suffer from surges and short outages. A copier is not designed to survive a lightning strike on the line, and the power supply board is usually the first thing to go. A surge protector at the wall is worth having. Pulling the plug when a storm rolls in is better again.
Long cable runs are the other trouble. A printer in a shed linked to the house by a Wi-Fi extender will drop out whenever the extender does. A cable is the better answer, even a long one. We can check the run and the settings and tell you what to do.
Out in the hills
Maleny, Nambour, Eumundi, Kenilworth, Gympie. Small offices and farm supply counters have the same copier problems as a Maroochydore firm and fewer people to fix them. Ring before the van is loaded and we pack for your make, so a long drive is not wasted on the wrong roller.
A town office should not get a worse repair than a coastal one. Same technicians, same standard, same free second go if the fault returns.

Yes, and that takes in Beerburrum and Landsborough as well. Give us the road name and anything we should know about getting in when you ring.
Check that it is plugged in and the power board is working. If it still will not start, ring us. Surges can damage the power supply, and we can usually tell by phone what is likely.
Yes. Pale prints and skipped labels are quick jobs. A clean of the head and a new roller fix a great many of them.
Yes. A visit before a busy season finds worn rollers and settled toner before they fail.
Sometimes. Ring early in the day, say where you are, and we tell you straight what is possible. A busy line means your call is logged and returned.
Yes. Give us the make and describe what the output looks like, whether that is skewed rolls, streaks or faded lines.
During the phone call, ahead of any booking. You are not committed to anything at that point.
We come back and fix that same fault, and you are not charged for it.
Either a cable run or a better spot for the access point. We look at signal strength and the settings, then tell you which of the two costs least.
